[POTTERY]. [WELLESLEY, Arthur, First Duke of Wellington (1769-1852), subject]. Matching Pair of Commemorative Jasperware Peninsular Victory Cup and Jug Set. [England: Wedgwood, ca. 1814]. This wonderful set of Wedgwood Jasperware was issued in commemoration of victory in the Peninsular War under the Duke of Wellington. Beautifully executed with fine pictorial details, the set includes a handled cup and pitcher with matching victory parade motifs. The cup is 3 ?? high and the Jug is 6 ?? high. Some soiling, a few small chips to paint. Fine. Very rare to find in a set.
