[PRISON / PAÑOS-STYLE]. Group of 31 Pencil or Ink Drawings, Finely Executed. [California: Avenal State Prison and Others, ca. 1980s-1990s]. Artwork on envelopes, plain paper, or repurposed file folders; most in pencil, 7 in ink, 6 in color. Sizes range from approximately 11 1/2 x 14 1/2" to 9 x 4". A handsome group of artwork, mainly from a single inmate to his wife and daughter (he had made 7 items for his daughter with his renderings of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - some in handmade card form). Included in this group are 6 Polaroids or snapshots, presumably of the inmate and his family. 

Generally clean, the largest item, a used manilla envelope is soiled and worn with stamps and cancels. Generally fine.
