Production Cage. British, ca. 1890. Finely made toleware cage collapses cleverly; used as a production from a borrowed hat, a described in Hoffmann?s Modern Magic. Hand painted floral pattern. Upper bars hinge open for removal of canaries. A very large and well-made example, expanded size 6 ? x 6 ? x 7 ??. Chips to finish as expected, good working condition. Uncommon in this size.
