Group of 19th-Century Theatrical Programs and Playbills featuring Magicians, Illusionists, and Thought Readers.?Includes a program for Henry Evanion, the celebrated British conjurer, dated 1893 and billed as ?The Royal Illusionist"; an 1881 playbill for Vestry Hall, Turnham Green; a S?ance Magique programme featuring Mr. Charles Bertram; and a scarce handbill for Professor F. Burnett, thought reader and illusionist, with a contemporary handwritten letter to the verso dated 1889. Additional material includes a Winter Entertainments broadside for Whitson's Day, 1887, and a printed and illustrated program for the Grand Entertainment of Professor Herwinn the Magician, with a decorative Victorian design.
