Remington and Kipling were mutual admirers, and were fellow members of New York's The Player's Club, and both were close friends of Theodore Roosevelt, so it is quite possible they knew each other.

Binding heavily worn, joints cracking, hinges repaired in later morocco, text a bit toned, several pages with marginal tears, a few pages roughly opened at top with tears, a few gutters cracked or overopened. Fair.
