A ?Series 3" mystery clock designed by Robert-Houdin featuring a glass dial in a gilt bezel with a single arrow-shaped hand at its center, the dial supported by a clear glass tube above a gilt wooden and brass base. The clock keeps time and the hand moves despite no apparent connection to the mechanism concealed in the base. Roman hour markers with five division bits further subdivided into three units. Floral supports join the column to the dial concealing the driving gears, and four elaborate cast ornaments support the base of the clear tube.
