Salesman's Sample Pike Scythe-Stones. Pike, NH: Pike Manufacturing Co., late 19th ? early 20th century. Group of sample sharpening stones manufactured by Pike for scythes, knives, farm equipment, hatchets, sickles, and other blades. Includes various models: India; Black Diamond; Green Mountain; Granger; Crescent; Genuine Lamoille; Quick Cut; White Mountain; English Round; and one other (illegible). Set contained in a green velvet fabric rolled carrying case. Length of each stone approx. 5". Discoloration to the velvet case. Very good, some fading to a few labels.
