Samuel Hart & Co. Bezique Set of Four Decks. New York, ca. 1865. Original gilt and blind-stamped paper-covered case with rules booklet and paper label on inside lid, with two U.S. playing card stamps canceled Aug. 1865 in each compartment. Includes four decks of 32 cards, and two Saladee’s Bazique Register cards with metal spinners. A rare and early set. Scattered chipping and losses to case, contents very good.
