Illustrated with frontispiece, engraved title-page, and 15 full-page plates. [xviii], 305, [18, Tables] pp. Contemporary full calf, ruled in blind, brown gilt morocco lettering label, later endleaves. EARLY EDITION OF THIS TRANSLATION BY SANDYS, COMPLETED WHILE HE WAS THE TREASURER OF THE VIRGINIA COLONY. 

Condition

Front board detached (yet present), rear joint re-hinged and heavily worn, binding heavily worn, spine chipped, ffep. with labels cut out, frontispiece and engraved title-page dampstained, text toned, occasionally soiled, foxed, some wrinkling to text, mis-printed page number corrected in ink. Fair.
