Group of four large scrapbooks containing hundreds of newspaper clippings and photocopies/Xeroxes (in the tradition of zine-making) carefully curated, collaged, and arranged by Howie Pyro. Subjects include exploitation films, horror movies, drive-ins, spook shows, burlesque shows, with themes of murder, drug use, sexual promiscuity, teenagers, rock'n'roll, and more. A few films and figures mentioned include: Evil Dead ? Faster, Pussycat, Kill! Kill! ? House of Wax? Andy Warhol ? Reefer Madness ? Charles Manson ? John Waters ? Jayne Mansfield ? and so many others. Two scrapbooks are unfinished, with blank pages and loose clippings. With several folders of hundreds more loose newspaper clippings and photocopies. An impressive archive.
