Engraved portrait frontispiece of Shakespeare in each volume (Droeshout?s first folio engraved frontispiece, ?Droeshout?s? painting in Shakespeare?s Memorial Gallery, the Ety House portrait, and the ?Chandos? portrait in the National Portrait Gallery). Contemporary half red calf gilt, raised bands, gilt fleuron centerpieces and titling in compartments, top edges gilt, decorative ?Shakespeare? endpapers (spines a touch sunned tiny spots of rubbing at corners). A handsome set of the complete works of Shakespeare that also includes a volume on the life of Shakespeare by Sidney Lee.
