[SIDESHOW]. VOGEL, Charlotte (1908?1976). Susi, The Elephant Skin Girl. Circa 1930s. Albumen photo-montage of Vogel AKA Susi, the elephant skin girl, with an elephant. Vogel lived with a painful case of ichthyosis, causing her skin to become thick, rough, and scaly like that of an elephant. She often exhibited at Coney Island in the 1930s. Framed. Sight 9 x 7". Not examined out of the frame. Very good. Collection of Johnny Fox.
