Silk Pedestal. New York: New York Magical Co., 1910s. Nickel-plated stand with elaborate base atop which rests a glass tumbler. Internal mechanism allows the performer to secretly insert a handkerchief into the covered drinking glass atop the stand. Hallmarked underneath the base. A handsome and large example of this classic conjuring prop, rarely encountered with this hallmark.
