Sixteenth Century Italian Notarial Document. 1585. Handwritten legal script in ink on vellum. Document appears to be for a property transfer; text is largely abbreviated and illegible, though a handful of words are clear: villa (farmhouse), patto (agreement), terra (land, ground) and pagato (paid). 21 x 8?. Some soiling, ink faded in spots; not examined out of shrink-wrap. Good.
