Small Tattoo Ephemera Archive. Mid-20th century. Ephemera held by Mel Birnkrant contains approximately 24 items from Milton Zeis (including a signed note), such as:

3 booklets: Tattooing the World Over: Successful Method of Removing Tattooes [sic], Rockford: Zeis Studio, 1947; Tattooing the World Over. Rockford: Zeis Studio, 1951; and Tattooing: As Ancient as Time, as Modern as Tomorrow. Rockford: Zeis Studio, 1956, along with window display advertising sheet. Advertising letters, mailers, order sheets, and booklets with Zeis letterheads and price lists; a RPPC depicting "Doc King" the world's most artistic tattooed man - from the Zeis Studio; a Zeis School of Tattooing envelope addressed to Birnkran [sic]; and a short note penned and SIGNED by Zeis addressed to Birnkrant. 

Along with other ephemera: Quotation from General Trademark Co., Inc for Tattoo samples; pricelist from Terry Tattoo Artist; Copyright Notices from the Library of Congress; 2 sets of "Tat-tooed People: 2 Masks" each with 2 masks; and artwork.
