The volume was only the third publication from Arkham House and the first major collection of Smith's work, presenting a selection of the best stories from his major cycles "Averoigne," "Hyperborea," "Poseidonis," and "Zothique." This is an excellent copy of a scarce and seminal volume in American "weird fiction," with only 1,054 examples printed. Clark has signed his name on the half-title in ink. Housed in custom black cloth clamshell box.
