Snow White Old King Cole Animated Display: Band Scene. Canton, OH: Old King Cole, ca. 1930s. Animated scene depicting the Seven Dwarfs playing various forest instruments. Papier-m?ch? figures in wooden cabinet with electric cam-and-rod movement. With wooden title plaque (?Band Scene") and a later decorative wooden fa?ade with glass cover. This is one of a series of ten Snow White vignettes produced by the Old King Cole Company, under license of the Walt Disney Company, and one of nine offered in this auction (the tenth display was destroyed). Approximately 65 x 62 x 33" overall. With repainting and restoration. Provenance: Arthur Gillette, acquired from the Coleman Bros. carnival, ca. 1960s; to his son Jack Gillette, previously displayed at Magic Forest Park amusement park (Lake George, NY). Third-party transportation required.
