[SNUFF OR TOBACCO BOX]. [NELSON, Lord Horatio (1758-1805), subject]. ?Conqueror at Aboukir 1 Augt 1798 Copenhagen 2 April 1801 Trafalgar 21 Octr 1805, Where He Gloriously Fell.? [N.p., ca. 19th century]. This beautiful circular brass box, 2 ?" in diameter x 1?, honors Admiral Lord Nelson, with his profile of the Admiral on the lid within a Greek key pattern border, the sides with vignette images of British Naval themes (cannons, flags, the rear of HMS Victory). The base lists his Naval Victories (as above). With some surface wear from polishing, bottom surface with a few splits and apparent repairs (glue or epoxy). Rare.
