Approximately 91 samples of Alpine plants on 31 loose plates with manuscript captions. Housed in the original book-style wooden box (red cloth spine over textured paper boards, stamped in gilt). (Some wear, soiling, bowing, sunning to box, some wrinkling to loose plates, a few samples apparently missing). With engraved plate on inner front lid: ?Medaille D?Argent et Mention Honorable, a l?Exposition National de Turin en 1858? Series des Roches de la Chaine du Mont-Blanc??.
