Title-page printed in red and black and with a small mounted seaweed specimen above imprint, 34 mounted seaweed specimens (some flaking to few specimens, offsetting to text). Original gilt-lettered and stamped green cloth, edges gilt, recased. Provenance: gift inscription on title-page dated 1895. RARE FIRST EDITION of Cook?s famed book of original pressed seaweed samples.
