Spirit Bell. Circa 1900. Etched glass bell with nickel plated ring, hardware, and clapper; the bell rings out on command when suspended from a handsome magic wand, ringing once for ?yes? and twice for ?no? in answer to questions posed by the audience. Included is a key-wound ringing device used for an alternate presentation in which the bell rings while isolated under a handkerchief or inside a box. Diameter 5?, wand length 14?. Very good working condition. A handsome set, formerly owned and used by Richard Ritson, who performed as ?Wu Ling.?
