Star Selection. Scotland: Norman Stout for Silray Magic, ca. 1952. Red and black Lucite star (11 x 18о) and houlette (3 x 4о). The chosen card is the only one remaining on the star, after being winnowed down by the spectator from three packets of three cards to three cards from one packet on each point. Accompanied by a coin-vanishing slide of similar design. All very good.
