Minch, Stephen. Stephen Minch?s Gold Coin Wishbone Ring. Circa 1971. Being a gold magician?s ?wishbone?-style ring fabricated for, and worn by, magician and author of many of the art?s classic textbooks, Stephen Minch. The accompanying letter of provenance, signed by Minch, explains the history of the object further: ?I had this finger ring made for me c. 1971 and wore it for many years. The gold wishbone ring was specially fabricated by a jeweler, who then silver soldered it onto a silver coin-ring, made by my maternal grandfather, Baden Powell Stephenson, from a British coin. Some lettering from the original coin can be seen on the inner circumference of the ring.? Together with an 8 x 10? black-and-white photograph of Minch wearing the ring.
