London, Melbourne, and Toronto: Ward, Lock & Co., 1916. 8vo. 44 color plates by Tarrant (toning to frontispiece and title-page from tissue-guard). Original gilt-lettered blue cloth, color illustration mounted on upper cover, color illustration endpapers (spine sunned and slightly skewed, small spot of restoration to head). FIRST TARRANT EDITION. Although the title-page calls for 48 plates, there were only 44 plates issued (the endpapers were possibly included in the publisher?s justification). Lovett 244.
