Archive of Bernard Kobel Tattooed People Photographs, Catalogue, and RPPCs. Lot contains over 130 black-and-white photographs from Kobel's mail-order business (with Kobel's numbering in pencil on versos), one of Kobel's catalogues of "Highly Tattooed Men & Women of Yesterday and Today," insert with additional photographs listed, and three real photo postcards. 

Photographs generally: 7 x 5".

Catalogue: 11 x 8 1/2".

Bernard Kobel ran a mail-order photography business that offered a diverse collection of unusual and extraordinary images. His extensive archive included photographs of quirky houses, strange animals, sideshows, people with tattoos, and more, totaling over 1,700 images.

Condition

Majority of photographs with slightly curved top and bottom edges.

Catalogue with toning, staining, and tearing at top mid-portion. Inside with markings.
