TAUSCHER, Svend Aage (Danish, 1911-1982),?Untitled (Moonlight Cityscape, Copenhagen). 1970. Oil on canvas. 25 x 18. Frame: 26 x 19?. Signed lower left recto and signed and dated verso. Known as the Tramp Artist, he was born in Horsens and grew up in the Bredballe orphanage.?He was self-taught and painted modernist series of cityscapes and figure scenes. He was known by the public, but didn't achieve recognition until after his death. His paintings are in the Randers Museum of Art and a book was published about him in 2010. Possibly inherent light scratch right edge. Good condition.
