Also laid-in is a real photo postcard portrait of McDonald in top hat. McDonald originally became a lawman to supplement his income as a business owner. He became a legendary Texas Ranger, working on cases such as the Wichita Falls bank robbery, the Reese-Townsend feud and the Brownsville Raid of 1906. He was known as one of the ?Four Great Captains" of the Texas Rangers. He was one of the first inductees of the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D.
