The Craggs / John Bulls Adventure as a Gymnast. Alex. Hönig, ca. late 19th century. Lithograph promoting John Bull "turning sixty somersaults in succession." The Craggs were a touring acrobatic family known for their famous "John Bull" character act, which featured an older performer dressed as "John Bull," the national personification of England and Britain, doing intense and continuous somersaults and gymnastics on stage.
