The House of the Seven Gables Model. 20th Century. A model of the eponymous house with a well and chicken coop. Constructed of wood, plaster, glass, and simulated grass. 36 x 31 x 21?. With six captioned sheets affixed to base. Some wear, well?s roof and hanging sign require repair, some captioned sheets chipped. Very good. A charming model. This model is based upon Nathaniel Hawthorne?s gothic novel , published in 1851. The house in the novel is based on the Turner-Ingersoll mansion in Salem, Mass. Third party shipping required.
