Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1862/1864. 6 volumes bound in half smooth calf over marbled boards, spines gilt decorated in seven panels with raised bands and black gilt lettered spine labels in two panels, marbled endpapers, a.e.m. 12mos. Works include a 2-volume Poems (1864), The Golden Legend (1862), Song of Hiawatha (1863), The Courtship of Miles Standish (1860), and the scarce first edition of Tales of a Wayside Inn (1863). Exterior lightly rubbed; interior generally toned at margins with contemporary owner bookplates on front pastedowns.
