DAVENPORT, Ira Erastus (1839–1911). Three Ira Davenport Autograph Letters. Dated August 17 - 22 1866 and written entirely in Davenport's hand, he addresses his wife, "My Dear," in each missive he expounds on his love for her, describes gifts he is sending home, and also discusses details of the Davenport Brothers' work, "We will give a public seance tonight here." Each letter with the salutation, "Your husband" and one with the sign-off phrase, "a thousand kisses," and each letter INITIALED "I.E.D." at its conclusion.

Condition
Old folds, cellotape stains, chipping, small losses around perimeters. Fragile but intact.
