Trio of Miniature Cast Iron Safes, including: ?Burglar Proof House Safe" Key Combination Safe. [Cromwell, CT: The J & E Stevens Co., 1897]. Miniature cast iron safe with combination knob, original key, and the rare original tiny instruction sheet (with information on how to open the safe with the knob and key). Safe 4 ? x 4 ? x 5 ?". With handle on top. Some intermittent toning, rubbing, knob a bit loose but still functions. Fine. An unusual toy safe with the scarce original instruction sheet on a string (sheet 2 x 1", worn). And: pair of nickel-plated toy combination safes. [Kenton Brand, ca. 20th century]. Toy safes with combination knobs (combinations missing, so safes can't be opened as of yet). 5 x 5 x 6n ?" and smaller. Some wear, rust. Very good.
