In 1988, the alternative Los Angeles bookstore and publisher Amok Books hosted a controversial art exhibition featuring paintings by serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Lot includes a press release for the exhibition running June 4 - September 11, 1988; 3 invitations to the opening; an artist statement written by Gacy; a copy of a Time magazine article from January 8, 1979, about Gacy's capture; and a Polaroid of a painting with the medium and dimensions.
