[2, blank], 366, [2, blank] pp. Publisher's full sheep, rebacked, preserving most of the original spine, black and burgundy gilt lettering labels, four raised bands (spine worn, some color correction to joints, hinges repaired, endleaves and text toned, soiled, with occasional edgewear and some marginal tears, half-title and frontispiece chipped at lower corner, frontispiece with small tear at inner gutter at bottom). Good.FIRST AMERICAN EDITION IN THE UNCOMMON PUBLISHER'S SHEEP BINDING, WITH THE THREE FIRST ISSUE POINTS, (?Huck Decided to Leave" on p. 9, ?Him and another Man" incorrectly listed on p. 88, ?with the saw" on p. 57). The frontispiece has the ?Heliotype Printing Co." imprint, but the tablecloth is not visible, the final ?5" on p. 155 is elevated above the other numbers, p. 161 is missing the ?11" signature mark, and the illustration on p. 283 has the slight curve on Silas Phelps' trousers. ??all American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn.
