Contemporary brown calf, all volumes rebacked uniformly in modern brown calf, burgundy gilt morocco lettering labels, ruled in gilt (some wear, soiling, some wear, soiling to text, bookplates on front pastedown of 1758 volume). This set contains in the 1748 volume: a plate of a rhinoceros, and an article on grave robbing (p. 487), in 1751 volume: early accounts of Niagara Falls (p. 15), an illustration of a two-headed snake (p. 26), and an April Fools article about Centaurs (p. 153); in 1758 volume: two plates of tortoises (p. 8, 478), an article on the reasons of dryness in dead bodies (p. 572-573).
