Originally owned by composer Amy Beach. It passed to my great-aunt Lillian, who inherited Beach’s Cape Cod home and its contents, then to my grandmother, Emily Buxbaum, then to my father, William Buxbaum, and now to me. Family history holds that it was presented to Amy Beach in Russia following a performance there.
Amy Beach → my great-aunt Lillian → my grandmother, Emily Buxbaum → my father, William Buxbaum → me.
