Vanishing Bird & Cage (3). Colon: Abbott?s Magic Company, 1960s. A red ribbon-bound brass birdcage with latex canary vanishes at the magician?s fingertips. Includes two other Abbott?s cages based on this popular ?Blackstone? design. Latex canaries produced by MagicLatex by Felix & C. Casagrande (Spain, 21st century) and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Includes original Abbott?s instructions stating that the cage was manufactured by Pete Bouton, brother of Harry Blackstone, Sr., who worked for a time at Abbott?s. Cage measures 5 x 5? expanded, 15? long when closed.
