FIRST EDITION OF THIS IMPORTANT EARLY TRAVEL BOOK ABOUT HONDURAS AND SAN SALVADOR. Squier was a diplomat under Zachary Taylor, who wrote treaties with Honduras, San Salvador, and Nicaragua. He championed trade and tourism to Central America. Sabin 89981.
Condition
Spine and joints chipping, some rubbing to boards, front hinge cracked (nearly broken), text, maps and plates toned with occasional foxing, one map facing p. 143 tattered in pieces. Still, a good copy.
