Binding quite worn, scuffed, hinges starting, text toned, thumbsoiled, foxed. Good. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. With school award inscription on ffep. from 1835, inscribed by Rev. Joseph Bancroft Reade (1801-1870) a photography pioneer and co-founder of the Royal Microscopical Society and the Royal Meteorological Society.  Mr & Mrs Freygang traveled throughout the country and Mrs. Greygang is surely one of the earlest women to make such a long and arduous journey through such then distant lands. An excellent association.
