Illustrated with frontispiece portrait and folding map in volume I. 2 volumes. 409; 378 pp. Contemporary half brown calf over marbled boards, spines ruled in gilt in compartments, four raised bands, two green gilt morocco lettering labels on spines.
Condition
Bindings somewhat worn, text lightly toned, each volume with several inkstamps of the Leamington Public Library throughout the text and ffeps. Each volume with the bookplate of the Cookes Collection Library on the fps. Very good. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. Jacquemont was a traveling naturalist and geologist of the Museum of Natural History in Paris.
