Archive of 38 Vulcan Gas Company music concert handbills, most designed by Jim Franklin (several SIGNED by Franklin), Gilbert Shelton, and others. Handbills include: The Velvet Underground; Steve Miller Band / Freddy King; Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin; Kaleidoscoptic; Shiva?s Head Band; Mother Earth; New Atlantis; Conqueroo; Big Joe Williams; Fugs; Mance Lipscomb; John Lee Hooker; Muddy Waters; Georgetown Medical Band; Bubble Puppy; and others. [Together with]: six Austin, Texas music and psychedelic handbills designed by Franklin and others, including: Grok Bookstore, Austin (1970); Freddie King / Mance Lipscomb Armadillo World Headquarters (1970); and others. Some handbills with tackholes, tape marks, and light staining. Neatly stored in a Profolio album.
