[WALL MIRROR]. American - Federal Gilt Girandole Circular Wall Mirror. [United States, ca. 1840s]. Large convex mirror in elaborate carved wooden frame with eagle and leaf decorations painted in gold. Mirror approximately 16 ?? in diameter. Frame approximately 35 x 24?. Frame worn with chipping to paint, one of the eagle?s wings is a bit loose, one of the floral portions of the trim has been skillfully re-attached, back of mirror is somewhat loose and damaged. Still, a good example of this antique mirror.
