"I am very pleased to send you this advance copy of our brochure of forthcoming releases. We are very proud of these pictures." This is addressed to literary and film attorney, Louis Blau. Wells was a business and film executive, first working at Warner Brothers until 1982. In 1984, the board of the Walt Disney Company recruited him, Michael Eisner (b. 1942), and Jeffrey Katzenberg (b. 1950) to take the reins of the struggling company after the tenure of Ron W. Miller (1933-2019). The three executives revived the ailing Walt Disney Company, transforming it into the powerhouse we know today. Wells tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident in 1994. We are unsure if this letter was sent during his tenure at Warner Brothers or Disney; in any case, signed items by Wells are uncommon. From the personal collection of Louis Blau, literary and film attorney for various people, including Stanley Kubrick, Alex Haley, Arthur C. Clarke and others.
