Watch Mortar. European, ca. 1900. Turned wooden mortar and pestle set in which a borrowed watch is apparently ground to pieces, yet the construction allows for the getaway of the timepiece and the substitution of sham pieces. The borrowed watch then reappears elsewhere. Ungimmicked pestle, simple slot gaff to mortar. Height 6?. Very good.
