Includes two separate imprints of An American Dictionary of the English Language. Portrait frontispiece of Webster in each volume (offsetting to title), 1860 edition illustrated with 1,500 woodcut vignettes (few pencil notations). Original full calf, raised bands, black morocco spine labels titled in gilt (extremities rubbed and scuffed, 1860 edition front joint starting, title quire sprung).
