Wells?) to ?Little May?, 5 August 1901. 4 pp. on a single bifolium, 12mo (178 x 114 mm), on embossed Spade House stationary, some stains, old center fold, short closed tear at fore edge. A lengthy letter speaking of everyday occurrences including his new residence at Spade House where he lived from 1901 to 1909 and wrote three books including Kipps, Tono?Bungay and Ann Veronica.
