On p. 8 is an ad for Scouts of the Prairie, a play starring frontiersmen Ned Buntline (pseudonym for Edward Zane Carroll Judson Sr., 1821-1886 - who also wrote it), Texas Jack (pseudonym for John Baker Omohundro, 1846-1880) and Buffalo Bill (pseudonym for William Frederick Cody, 1846-1917).
