[New York:] New Directions, [1954]. 8vo. 254 pp. Original brown cloth-backed decorated boards, in publisher?s slipcase, paper label on front of slipcase (slipcase soiled, edges chipped; book?s front hinge starting, some rubbing). Near fine. FIRST EDITION. ONE OF 100 NUMBERED COPIES SIGNED BY WILLIAMS. THIS COPY # 93. Of the 100 copies approximately 90 copies were destroyed. There are only 10 numbered copies and 20 copies for presentation known, most of which were retained by the publishing house and by the author. One of the scarcest Williams items.
