Wind-Up "Jass-Band Moderne" Automaton. [N.p., ca. 20th century]. Wind-up monkey with tail in cloth costume and with realistic fur in hand-painted, hand-built wooden cabinet with spring-driven doors, and with (later?) removable crank on lower right side of cabinet, and working plug-in light. When wound-up, monkey's head swivels, his jaw moves up and down, his tail beats a cymbal up and down, and his right foot swivels to beat the large drum between his legs. It does not appear that his arms are intended to move. Some restoration and repair has been done. Cabinet is approximately 33 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 16". Monkey works, doors require adjustment/repair. Third party shipping or customer pick-up required. 

Some wear to cabinet and monkey, back of monkey's head with visible separation of his "wig," spring-driven doors mechanism require adjustment (they don't lock properly). Very good.
