[WOMEN'S BASEBALL]. Group of 6 snapshots. 1940s. Six glossy black and white snapshots, two stamped by Robinson Studio, Grand Rapids; one marked "Diary Print / Jun 1947"; and others on Velox paper.
Two of the women are in uniforms of AAGPBL (All American Girls Professional Baseball League) teams: one from the Springfield Sallies, and another from the Grand Rapids Chicks. The story of this baseball league, which operated from 1943-54, helped form the basis of the 1992 film A League of Their Own.
